1. Is StarzCasting.com an
agency?
No, Starz Casting does not manage or
represent talent. We are merely a community for actors and models to find the
resources they need to be successful in their respective careers.
2. Where do you get your casting
calls from?
Many of our casting calls are either
submitted by the casting director or are emailed to us. While we try our best to
filter through and only post legit casting calls, we are not the police
department and do not do background checks on people. Use your common sense when
attending auditions and never put yourself in a situation in which you feel
uncomfortable. By using this site, you agree that StarzCasting.com cannot be
held liable for any that happens when you attend a casting call. Use your best
judgment!
3. Can I work for you? Are you
hiring?
Unfortunately we do not have any positions available at this time. You are
more than welcome to check back in the future. Occasionally we will post an
"underground" job list of office positions for various firms, agencies, and
studios available in the industry, mostly in Los Angeles and New York.
4. Can you give me a specific
casting director's phone number or email address?
We're sorry, however we have strict privacy rules and regulations. We cannot
provide you with contact information for a casting director, other than what is
posted on the casting call itself.
5. I want to get into acting or
modeling but I don't know how. What do I need to do? Can you help me?
While the site itself will certainly be a great help to you, we cannot walk you
step by step of how to start your acting and/or modeling career. First you need
to help yourself! Take the time to read through our articles and How To's in the
Resource section of the site and even pick up a few recommended books for
further information. If you have any specific questions, you can always email
one of our Entertainment Specialists for answers or advice.
6. How do I upload photos to my
profile?
Unfortunately, at this time you cannot upload photos your personal profile.
The reason is because we want to keep Starz Casting a FREE service and hosting
photos takes up a lot of space and bandwidth, which costs money. You can,
however, direct link or "hot link" photos from another location on the web.
Simply find the enter the URL to the image you want in your profile in the
"Photo URL" field when updating your profile in the Members Section. If you
currently don't have any photos on the web (AOL My Photos, Yahoo! Photos,
MySpace, etc) there are tons of companies out there that will host your images
for free, such as PhotoBucket
and WebShots.
